Academic Search Premier

The Academic Search Premier is the world's largest scholarly, multidiscipline full text database designed specifically for academic institutions. The database contains indexing and abstracts for more than 8,318 journals (7,251 peer-reviewed), with full text for more than 4,542 journals (3,786 peer-reviewed, full text journals) of those titles. PDF back files to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals.

eJDS - eJournals Delivery Service

The electronic Journals Delivery Service (eJDS) is a prototype information retrieval system geared to facilitate the access to current scientific literature free of cost in the fields of Physics and Mathematics. The goal is to distribute individual scientific articles via e-mail to scientists in institutions in Developing Countries who do not have access to sufficient bandwidth to download material from the Internet in a timely manner and/or cannot afford the connection. Registration is required to access the electronic journals with eJDS which may be done by sending an application form by fax or Email. Titles are included from Academic Press, the American Physical Society, Institute of Physics Publishing and World Scientific.

Entropy

Entropy, an open access International and Interdisciplinary Scientific Journal of Entropy and Information Studies (ISSN: 1099-4300), publishes peer-refereed reviews, regular research papers and short notes. National Technical Information Service (NTIS)

The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) serves as the largest central resource for government-funded scientific, technical, engineering, and business related information. For more than 60 years, NTIS has assured businesses, universities, and the public timely access to approximately 3 million publications covering over 350 subject areas. NTIS has started electronic delivery of all its reports dating to 1997. Reports numbering fewer than 20 pages are free; those over 20 pages are $8.95. The scanned reports appear in Adobe PDF.



New Journal of Physics

New Journal of Physics is co-owned by the Institute of Physics and Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft. It is an open-access, electronic-only journal publishing original research across the whole of physics. NJP is available without charge to readers around the world.



Public Library of Science (PLOS)

PLOS is a nonprofit organization of scientists and physicians committed to making the world's scientific and medical literature a freely available public resource. All published works of PLOS are freely available online to read, download, copy, distributed, and use any way the user wishes.



POPLINE Database

POPLINE (POPulation information onLINE), the world's largest bibliographic database on reproductive health, population, family planning, and related health issues, is now available free of charge on the Internet. POPLINE contains nearly 360,000 records and has been maintained since 1972. The database adds 12,000 records annually and is updated every Monday.
POPLINE Digital Services also provides full text documents of many of its abstracts in the database at no charge for readers in developing countries. Full-text documents are only available if the information is not available locally, is not a commercially published book, and is less than 100 pages in length. POPLINE sends full-text documents as an e-mail attachment in Adobe Acrobat format or by mail.



Project Gutenberg

Project Gutenberg is the Internet's oldest producer of FREE electronic books. It was founded in 1971 with an idea to make famous and important texts available freely to everyone in the world and since then it has so far published 24,127 e-books. This project digitizes books which are in the public domain and puts them online free of charge.

A refereed international, interdisciplinary electronic journal sponsored by the American Psychological Association (APA) and indexed by APA's PsycINFO and the Institute for Scientific Information. RAM Database – Recent Advances in Manufacturing

Recent Advances in Manufacturing (RAM) is a database of bibliographic information for manufacturing and related areas covering the period from 1990 onwards. It covers 40,819 articles from more than 500 leading and mainstream journals and magazines, and also details of books, videos and conference proceedings. SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System

The SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a digital library portal for researches in Astronomy and Physics. The ADS maintains 3 bibliographic databases containing more than 7.1 million bibliographic records. Most of the major astronomical journals are included.
